Edda Kathleen van Heemstra Hepburn-Rusto, is the name of a girl born in 1929, with a passion for acting and dance, better known as Audrey Hepburn.
Today we're going to talk of the eternal 50s Diva, a modern beauty and sour, a little melancholy doe-eyed girl.
The words to describe the elegance and style that sets it apart is not easy to find, but I'll try.
Audrey was the bearing, the freshness, spontaneity, charisma.
Proclaimed in 1999 the third biggest actress of all time by the American Film Institute and earned its star on Hollywood a Walk of Fame (at 1652 Vine Street), this young beauty has created a style imitated by topical and fashion lovers and inspiration for designers.
With her, the ideal of beauty was partly re-invented.
In a world where sensuality was incarnated in bodies, buttery and full of curves like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey was imposed on the scene, sporting a new style, characterized by thinness, sophisticated and full of grace.
A new fashion icon was born.
Elegance, class, luxury, all in one word: simplicity.
In a femininity where "less is more," you may well see in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", Audrey was much more than an actress.
Today,she lies the small cemetery of Morges in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland where she had a house since the '60s.
